Cataclysm Is Coming – New Shaman Leveling Guides

Hi and welcome to my article about the great changes that are happening right now. The World of Warcraft is changing and the Cataclysm is about to begin. And with the raised level cap Shaman leveling guides are becoming more relevant again.

As we all know most of Azeroth doesn’t look like the old world anymore. Terrain, Quests, NPCs…. they are all different now. In fact the change has already taken place. But what does that mean for you and all the other Shamans out there?

Of course your main Shaman character can level up 5 levels. But now leveling is different! You will discover that the new talent system offers a lot of new possibilities to play. And it’s completely different from the talent system of the past.

Guides on the internet about Shaman leveling before the Cataclysm are pretty much useless. It’s not even worth to take a look at them. The talent builds will be completely new and the talent specs will be completely different. Caster items are much more likely in the earlier levels now. All of the sudden the Elemental build is viable just as the enhancement build was up until now – you can use both of them.

The players who have bought a Shaman guide in the past want to know if those are useless, too. If guides from the past can still be used for fast leveling. All in all, the answer is Yes. Most publishers already informed their customers that a completely updated version is available for their guides.

Almost every leveling guide will contunie to work as soon as the world events are over and the new world has settled down. As long as the world events continue there might be some difficulties. But don’t worry, once the events are all over everything will work fine.

You better bet that there will be tons of new online guides on new talent builds for every kind of Shaman in the next few weeks.

Warrior Guide To PvP

While the Warrior is easy and straight-forward to play in PvE, handling your foes in PvP is a whole other beast. You want to improve your player versus player performance? Then your first step is to the the Warriors role in the bigger picture.

You see, many people make the mistake of looking at their character as an isolated hero on the battlefield. Big mistate!

This quick warrior guide will give you an impression of the bigger picture and the part that your Warrior plays in it.

The Warrior plays a very unique role on the battlefield. If you approach the battle from this strategic perspective, your odds of dominating will increase tenfold.

The first foundation to a greater Warrior PvP potential is having a PvP gear with high resilence rating. PvP and PvP are very different when it comes to gear, as every Warrior guide can tell you. It’s not about Defense or Block Rating. A raid tank is great for PvE, but helpless on the battlegrounds.

Next, become an expert of your stances. It’s crucial to react quickly and without thinking when you are in a tight situation. You need to think and act really fast. Stun your enemies whenever you can and don’t let them get away from you.

So there you have it.

I know this sounds like very basic knowledge, but ever player needs to get his basics dialed. In the end, it’s always the basics that make or break anything worthwhile.

Here’s your action plan to designing a warrior that’s going to dominate in PvP:

#1 – First of all, get a proven PvP talent spec that fits your playing style.

#2 – Get your Warrior spec in order with the right glyphs and gear. Remember: Resilience all the way! I also recommend you to write down a list of gear you want to get and how to aquire it asap.

#3 – Make yourself familiar with a solid Warrior PvP guide, but don’t get hung up with theoretical studying. Visit battlefields and the arena as often as you can to get the real, practical experience. And don’t be frustrated if you lose in the beginning, that’s what everyone does before they become champions.
