I turn on Yahoo search marketing at 3pm and off at 11pm every day to prevent untargeted clicks from europe. My question is how long does it take from the time that I turn my account on until the time it starts displaying my ads?
It should be close to instantaneous. There may be replication delays as your listings’ status is updated across Yahoo servers, but this generally amounts to no more than 5-10 minutes, often much less. On rare occasions, the delay can extend to 45-60 minutes, though.

I need to hire an agency to manage my search marketing campaigns. What are the right questions to ask potential agencies so I know I’m making the right decision? What should I look for?
Ask about their experience. A lot of companies may not be able to share specifics of their clients, but should give you a general idea of what their capabilities are. Let them know what you’re looking to achieve – ROI, ROAS, CPA and let them show you what they think would be the best strategy.
I also think it’s important that the agency has good relationships with the engines. They may be able to get things done faster and have more pull if there is already an existing relationship.
When you begin talking to agencies, let them do most of the talking. Ask questions if there’s anything you don’t understand. You don’t want an agency who is not willing to answer your questions. Also ask what services they offer – do they just do paid search or do they offer organic search optimization? Will they write copy for you? How often is reporting done – what kind of info will you find in the reports? What is the typical timeline for a campaign launch?

I need to know what king of technology existed at that time, especially communication technology…
semaphore
Although passing mention of this idea had been made at many points in history, it was apparently the English scientist Robert Hooke who first gave a vivid and comprehensive outline of visual telegraphy to the Royal Society in a submission dated 1684; in it he outlined many practical details, but his system was never put into practice.
Over a hundred years later a French engineer, Claude Chappe and his brothers took up the challenge again and succeeded to cover France with a network of 556 stations stretching a total distance of 4,800 kilometres. It was used for military and national communications until the 1850s.
Many national services adopted signaling systems different from the Chappe system. For example, Britain and Sweden adopted systems of shuttered panels (in contradiction to the Chappe brothers’ contention that angled rods are more visible). In Spain, the engineer Agustín de Betancourt developed his own system which was adopted by that state. This system was considered by many experts in Europe better than Chappe’s, even in France.

This is for my homework.
I need to know what communication technology was invented DURING (not before or after) world war one.
Please help!
Thanks
The Fullerphone (named after its inventor, Maj. Gen. A.C.Fuller ) was invented during WW1. It was a morse code communication used in the trenches. Below are a couple of links for more information.

I don’t have kids and it seems hers always comes between us starting to build a life together. I understand she is protective, but how patient should I be when we cannot find the time alone? Should I make an ultimatum because the patience grows thin sometimes. Also, does the fact she’s a single mother even matter ’cause these challenges may come up regardless?
Thanks for your help.
speaking as a single mother, i would say that you need to be patient. if she’s a little too overprotective, talk to her about it. If YOU’RE serious, you’ve got to communicate openly and honestly. if SHE’S serious, she will make time for you. (find a babysitter; put them to sleep a little early; putting aside "x" amount of hours just for you two, things like that.) you guys can surely make it work, but you’ve got to do it TOGETHER. it’s not impossible, just communicate openly and honestly.
